My entry for the "Anime postcards around the world" contest... :giggle:

In case you've never come across a greek tourism campaign here's some info on what this mediterranean country is expert at selling ;)

Here's two friends--let's call them Cassie and Betsy--who chose the greek Cyclades islands for their summer vacation. Now, the flag of Greece is white and blue and that's an apt choice since what with the sea and the--infuriatingly--constant blue skies there is every shade of blue imaginable. Most greek islands in the Aegean sea feature box-like whitewashed houses that are quite picturesque in their mazelike architecture (this emerged as a way to counter pirate attacks in the past--lot's of sea, remember?)

Now, the temperature in Greece often climbes to 40oC--and unfortunately stays there for the loooong summertime--so Cassie and Betsy are (un)dressed as light as possible and did not forget their sunblock cream lest their skin turns lobster-red. They should have worn some hats and sunglasses but oh, well. Here they are armed with a digital camera as they walk the narrow alleys and streets of the island before going down to the beach where they will laze all day long and enjoy refreshing swims in the cool blue waters. Betsy munches at a "souvlaki", a classical greek menu item consisting of kebab meat, onions, french fries, garlic sauce and tomato all wrapped up in flat pita bread.

A greek island vacation should also include a visit to the local ancient ruins--there's always some everywhere you go--and an exhaustive nightlife but the daylight joys are by far the best for me ;p

Wow, the background on this is so, so good! And their eyes are very deep looking, great picture!

Μου φαίνεται ότι βλέπω βελτίωση στα χρώματα, καλές αντιθέσεις και "όγκοι". Και ωραίο concept! (αλλά, εμ, θα προτιμούσα κάποιον αρχαίο Ναό στο background;))

mouzakas cannot be eaten "on the hand" :|
the concept of "kamaki" belongs to the nightlife part. but here's something to make up for the lack of it in the pic [link]

:giggle: how'd you guess the photo reference? still, only for basic sketching. i put the colors--and some windows--myself.
bet you can't find which island it is ;p
