Girl On Fire

I just love the Hunger Games. Mostly because it is a girl's story but not the usual pinkpuke disney princess shit (even tho HG does have sparkly dresses!). Also, Katniss fights ruthlessly for what is most important to her and despite it raining guys everywhere, love is only a secondary consideration. She is abrupt, cold and calculating, because she is out to survive and protect those she loves. And she kicks ass. Instead of teaching girls to be pretty and meekly wait for some random prince to validate them, we should teach them to fight for what they believe, to see through the lies and pretty surface.

Also, tho I luuuuv everything about JLaw I used the book's description of Katniss.
